Cross Continent Trip: Day 20

Posted on Updated on

I stopped at Portland, Maine on the way up to my destination for the day.  I read about the Boothbay Railway Village in Kittery, so I had to check it out.  It’s a living village that has cars, trains, and equipment from eras from the 1800s to the 1960s.  It had a steam engine which went around the town, and an inspection car, as well as a Ford Model T.  There was so much to do there, that I ended up spending 3 hours seeing everything.  My back was killing me when I was done, but it was worth it.  I spent the night at the rest area in Hampden, Maine.
